Retail · Grid tied
1 238 kWp · 1.8 million kWh a year
This 1 238 kWp rooftop array on a large regional retail centre was delivered over a live trading centre, without closing it or interrupting trade. Retail roofs are broken up by plant, walkways and tenant divisions, so the system was planned around the centre’s real roofscape and tied into its supply to offset the loads a shopping centre runs hardest through the day: refrigeration, lighting and air conditioning.
It is modelled to generate 1 801 494 kWh a year. For the landlord, that is a direct cut in the centre’s single largest controllable cost, and insulation against an electricity price that keeps climbing.
